Stantec took the opportunity to pilot the LEED® Commercial Interiors program. In so doing they not only created a healthier, more enjoyable place to work, but were key in advancing efforts to increase green building options for the workplace. This project is distinguished by its tremendous efforts to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials, where 40% of the materials are from salvaged sources, and an impressive 86% of all construction-related waste was diverted from landfills. Among its qualities, this building uses zero ozone-depleting CFC’s, occupancy-sensored light controls, exterior views for natural lighting and occupancy comfort, end-of-trip amenities, and a green housekeeping program.
