Summary
Pedal Energy Development Alternatives (PEDAL) is a not-for-profit, community based organization committed to advancing bicycles as an environmentally friendly mode of transportation. Specifically, PEDAL promotes the use of pedalpowered technology with a focus on education and accessibility to affordable, equitable bike services.
With a community economic development focus, PEDAL runs three projects: Our Community Bikes (OCB) provides a community hub for bicycle education and repair; the Pedal Bicycle Depot is a non-retail bicycle education and recycling facility; and PedalPlay is a bike art and education organization that engages in activities such as bicycle building workshops and theatrical events.
