Tilbury Eco-Industrial Partnership

Key Sustainability Features Based on a regional study conducted in 2003, the following potential reductions have been targeted in the Tilbury Eco-Industrial Park: Natural gas consumption by 300,000 GJ/y or 26%, an annual savings of $2.4 million Electricity consumption by 61,000,000 kWh/y or 37%, an annual savings of $4 million Wastewater generation from permitted industries by 25% Potable water consumption by 25% Truck trips by 200,000 trips per year, or 25% 15,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalents per year of greenhouse gas emissions The Tilbury Eco-Industrial Partnership (TEIP) is a member-driven initiative based upon eco-industrial networking. Eco-industrial networking (EIN) creates collaborative relationships (networks) between businesses, governments, and communities to more efficiently and effectively use resources such as materials, energy, land, infrastructure, and people.
